Staff Selection Commission (SSC) GD Constable Recruitment 2018 – Apply for 54943 Posts



Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published a notification for the recruitment of Constables (General duty – GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (BSF, CRPF, CISF, SSB, ITBP etc.), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

Online application for this recruitment will start from 21st July to 20th August 2018.

Name of post: Constable / Rifleman

No. of posts: 54,953 posts (Male-47307, Female-7646)


Educational Qualification: Matriculation or 10th class pass from a recognized Board/ University.

Age Limit: 18-23 years as on 01/08/2018

Pay: Level-3 of Pay Matrix Rs. 21700-69100

Application Fee: Rs. 100/- to be paid through SBI Challan / SBI Net Banking or using Visa, MasterCard or Maestro Credit or Debit card.. No fee for SC/ST/PH/Women and Ex-Serviceman.

Exam Pattern & Selection Procedure 

The SSC CGL Exam pattern consists of 4 Stages as mentioned below:

Stage 1: Computer Based Exam

Stage 2: Physical Efficiency Test

Weight –
The height & weight should be proportional according to medical standards.

Stage 4: Medical Test

Once you qualify the Physical Efficiency Test & Medical Standard Test, then you are eligible to participate in the Medical Test.

Step 3: Next, a candidate needs to Click on the ‘GD-Constable’ tab flashing on the screen.

Step 4: Candidate needs to fill the application form available at the website by giving details like name, address, e-mail, mobile number, category and educational qualification.

Step 5: Once filling up the application, a candidate needs to pay the fees to confirm their registration.

Step 6: Download a hard copy of the registration form for the future purpose.
